Xbox Game Pass library expands: Huge move

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has announced its most comprehensive investment yet for Xbox Game Pass. Company CEO Chris Charla announced that agreements have been made with more than 150 studios in the last 12 months. These agreements are the largest investment in Game Pass to date. These agreements expand the platform’s library.

As prices for next-generation games rise, interest in subscription systems like Game Pass is also significantly increasing. According to the announcement, 2025 looks set to be a very productive year for Game Pass.

Productions like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered were added to Game Pass on launch day. Charla stated that many developers are looking to bring their new projects to the platform after their initial Game Pass experience.

Game Pass, which covers console, PC, and cloud gaming, has different subscription tiers starting at $9.99. However, subscription models continue to be a source of controversy in the gaming industry. While there are criticisms that this model suppresses the revenue of small studios, it is also seen as an opportunity for indie games.

Microsoft, on the other hand, emphasizes its focus on the platform’s sustainability and diversity. It has been stated that supporting independent developers is a particular priority. The addition of hundreds of new partners demonstrates that Microsoft is pursuing a long-term strategy in this area.
